Caring for Your Artisan Bag
Our creations are made with precious fabrics and require a little tender loving care to remain beautiful over time.
Washing and Cleaning
• Dry Cleaning: To maintain the luster of satin and the softness of velvet, we recommend professional dry cleaning only. Absolutely avoid water, which could stain the fabric or compromise the bag's structure.
• Small Stains: In an emergency, gently blot with a dry, white cotton cloth. Do not rub: velvet and satin are sensitive to abrasions.
• Steam: If the velvet appears crushed, you can revive it by carefully passing a light steam jet over it (at a safe distance!) and then gently brushing with a very soft-bristled brush.
Storage and Use
• Light and Heat: When not in use, store your bag in a fabric dust bag. Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat sources, which could fade natural colors.
• Perfumes and Sprays: Apply perfumes or hairspray before wearing your bag. Micro-droplets of these products can create indelible marks on silk and satin.
Caring for Chains and Metal Hardware
Metal, though durable, is sensitive to external agents. Here's how to keep it shiny:
• Enemy number one: Humidity. After use, clean the chain with a dry microfiber cloth to remove traces of moisture or skin acidity.
• Avoid contact with liquids: Never spray perfume directly on the chain and keep it away from creams and lotions, which can oxidize the finish and make it dull.
• Separate storage: Our chains are removable, so store them inside the bag or separately, wrapped in tissue paper to prevent them from rubbing against the bag's fabric during transport, which could snag the satin threads.
